Strongest in the world?

When the ice sheet melted, some 10 000 years ago, it left behind large boulders, which sometimes landed on their pointed end on a flat rock. The are called rocking stones or logan stones and ar so finely balanced that even a light force can cause them to rock. One of the world's largest logan stones is just a short walk from here. It weighs as much as 470 horses or 3000 police officers!

A Picnic in the Park

No risk of being chased up a tree - guaranted cow-free. Invite a friend on their birthday - or your best friends - to a picnic in the beautiful Herrgårdsparken (Manor Park) in Mariannelund. Play the part with straw hats and parasols while you take a turn on the white bridges over the ponds. Should you decide to climb a tree, it is not because you have to avoid any mad cows - but because you feel alive and like it!

Are trolls and robbers lurking in the woods?

Tales, traditions and truths in Småland. No, not nowadays, but in the 19th century, a gang of robbers ravaged the Lönneberga area, among other places. One of the master thieves was Samuel Lifv, who was thougth to be Småland's answer to Robin Hood. Samuel was born in the village of Bäckfall outside Mariannelund. Join us for a walk to the rock wall of Trollegata where trolls were lycing in wait, as the legend has it. Nice trolls, of course.
